Recent discovery: Too much cow dairy makes me really congested. Funny, I'm not supposed to be eating a lot of dairy anyway, on the Paleo diet, but in my quest for protein, I overlooked that in the first month. No more. In the past 4 days, I have cut back dramatically on dairy and will look for non-cow alternatives for the modest amount that I can have on this regimen. Hoping this will also disappear the persistent congested feeling in my ears!

Weight: 137 -- down 4 pounds from one month ago (8/6)
Body fat 31.6% -- down from 32.6% one month ago, and officially OUT of the 'unhealthy' category! :)

Also did measurements today (these are the baselines):
• neck 13.5
• chest 37
• waist 35
• upper arm 12
• forearm 9.5
• hips 38.25
• thigh 22
• calf 12.25

We'll see what next month's measurements bring!!

TUESDAY

Free meals for this week: Wed dinner; Fri lunch

Our office goes out to lunch every Tuesday, which is a really nice benefit. We have a few restaurants that we like, where I know I can get food that will work for my regimen ... but unfortunately today was not one of those days! My boss likes to 'go where the wind takes him' sometimes, and today, it had to do with finding a restaurant. After debating over 2 places we like, and then checking out another 2-3 places in the car, we ended up at this great bistro (before I started this regimen, I loved this place -- now, I'm not so sure!) ... all of the meat they had was either cured (so salty) or fatty (lamb, pork, etc.) and it was all sandwiches, either hot or cold. *sigh* I did the best I could, though, and tracked what I ate, and ate small portions. Guess that restaurant is going on the 'free meal' list from now on, haha!
