Back to basics...
While I enjoyed the Holiday season, Its good to have it In the rear-view. Im back in the groove and doing the deal. Feels good to be back in the routine, though I did not depart from it, really. I made the best choices I could, and indulged more than I normally would, but did not get my head or my body into a bad "Cant get out of this situation"
Happy New year everyone...heres to a healthy and happy 2012.

Gotta get back to a more vigilant routine. Holidays over, and I really enjoyed them. Treated myself more than usual, but was pretty steady in exercise and staying BUSY!Have walked and /or run at least 5 miles in each of the last 3 days. Took a break from push ups as my shoulder is a little jacked up. (getting old man!!) I'm up to 165, which is about as high as I want to go. More cozy at 163, so that's where I am going to get back to (spirit willing and the creek dont rise!!) PEEEEEEEEAAAACE OUT!

Hanging in at 164. Cool with that due to obvious holiday temptation and a little mini vacation to the coast (Body surfing in Santa Cruz in late December was da' Bomb!)IF YOU LIVE BY THE OCEAN I SURE HOPE YOU APPRECIATE IT!! Jogging on the beach just cant be beat. So I am still exercising as much as is realistic between work family and increased holiday togetherness, and not stressing I say this as this is a BIG deal for me!! Im dialing back logging a bit but by no means stopping. Ive gained tools and info here that help me make good choices, and coming up on a year since the beginning we are doing a-OK! THANKS BUDDIES!!

Didn't see it coming!
I was expecting extra temptation and some time constraint with regard to food and exercise, but fate has tossed in a few curveballs this year.
It has been a bit challenging this year to stick to the plan, and it has not been due to the extra abundance of the vittles lying around. Its been TOUGH professionally in terms of time and stress added on to the usual amped up Christmas stuff to get done.
Here is what I am learning....
1.I can still do the best that I can to stick with it. (And for the most part I am doing okay, just not as okay as I want to, and I am my own worst critic)
2. By staying the course to the
best of my ability
it will be much easier to get back into the swing when the holidays are over.
I generally love the holidays and I am by no meanss a grinch. I am however ready for this little stretch to be done with and to a return of "normalcy" (whatever that is!) in my life!
I try to keep the "drama" stuff out of my posts, but if it pertains to my health / maintenance I try to share. Thanks for letting me vent a bit.
