August 21. 2018 Monday
This past year has been full of new and sad changes for me. The sad part is I lost my husband Bill on October 21, 2017 to Parkinson's disease, he had been battling this disease for 3 years. The good Lord relieved him of his pain and suffering within a weeks time. Since his passing, I have been binge eating through my sadness. This has not made my weight and diabeties any better. I gained over 10 pounds and made my sugars go through the roof. It has been 10 months now and I am adjusting to being a widow. I am trying to get my weight and my diabeties back under control. I have made possitive changes in my home and in my life. I have a new fur kitty, Her name is Isabella. Izzy for short. I have rearranged my home with new paint and new furniture in my bedroom. It is no longer a place of saddness. I miss Bill everyday, but I Know he is watching over me. He is encourging me to get my act together to get better. So I celebrated my bithday this past weekend by going to the Renissance Fesival in Holly. Bill and I would go opening weekend. I didn't eat very well, but I knew his spirit was with me to enjoy the day, and to celebrate my turning 64.I ate a delious cupcake Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No more cupcakes. I had a salad for lunch today. A peach for a snack, and I am drinking lots of water. Wish me well on this new journey and my new challenges of loosing the weight and controling my diabetes. I will journel more as the time goes on.
