It's really sad what I do to myself.

I did it! I was the Biggest Loser at TOPS two weeks in a row, and then this week I tied for Biggest Loser. It would be great if I could sustain this momentum through August.
Some things I noticed about this past week:
1. I bought healthy food and ate it. Usually end up throwing a lot away but didn't toss too much this week.
2. Had a NutriBlast smoothie just about every morning. May have skipped one.
3. Managed to avoid temptation on multiple occasions.
4. In general, starting to feel better and have more energy.
Today I felt awful, achy and tired most of the day so decided to just stay home and rest up for the weekend.d

Well, my pain never really improved today, but I decided rather than sit around the house and think about my pain, I would get ready and go to my volunteer job which would put my mind on something else and distract me from the pain. I ended up working right up until time to leave for my TOPS meeting.
After my big 5.6 lb. loss last week, I feared that I may have regained some of it, but I didn't, and I ended up being the Biggest Loser for the second week in a row. I'm going to set an intention and go for a threepeat!

Although I went on a major sugar binge last weekend, I have turned things around somewhat this week. I've stopped eating out so much, limited my drive-thrus and have been only buying and eating healthy stuff at home.
I just love my NutriBullet Pro! It's so easy to use and to clean. This morning I made a NutriBlast with 2 cups of baby kale, 1/2 a frozen banana, fresh blackberries and frozen strawberries and a few small chunks of, I think, melon (maybe peach). Filled to the max line with cold spring water. Left out the chia seeds this time as I wanted to see what it tasted like without them. It was yummy, though I think I prefer using spinach to kale. Used these especially wide straws I found at Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day. They work great with thicker drinks like shakes and smoothies!
Hurting a lot this morning so called into my volunteer job and said I wasn't sure I was going to make it today. If I go, it won't be until afternoon, as I still need to get ready and need to go to Walmart to pick up a med refill.
Our weather, like a lot of the country, has been unusually hot and humid, but both the temps and the humidity level are starting to get back to normal for this time of year. I, for one, am thrilled about that.

I was shocked when I stepped on the scales at TOPS last night and had lost 5.6 pounds! It certainly wasn't because I was eating healthy and staying on track.
Since I did lost it, though, this week I am going to try to lose more instead of starting the gaining trend again.
I am dedicating this weekend to gearing up for taking really good care of myself in the week ahead.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
