So I went to a local shop today and got round to talking about health.
Long story short the teller started saying how fir t some of the people look who do cross for who go to the shop and that it’s ok for me to carry a few extra pounds.
I’m only a U.K. size 8 (US size 4) and I’ve lost a decent amount of weight recently and have been going the gym. I’d like to say this didn’t hurt my feelings but it did a bit as I’m a healthy size. I used to be very vey thin (U.K. 4, size zero) which wasn’t healthy either and comments like this (though not meant with hurtful intention) still sting a bit as I’ve worked hard to find a sensible balance.
Whinge over :( I’d appreciate your support, I feel women just get so judged. I’m only human and have a full time job, I’m not a model and I’m not 20 anymore.

Trying to keep below 1500 a day as my PT said that’s how I’ll get to my goal. Haven’t been able to exercise as much as I’d like as I’ve been stood up delivering conferences for 8+hrs( which surprisingly doesn’t burn many calories!).
Really want a protein bar as a snack later but will have to keep my willpower strong :(

Had some treats today like a glass of wine, bacon butty and a chocolate protein bar. Still kept in my calorie allowance. Not ‘quality calories’. But I’m feeling happy that I’ve had a really nice day out with my parents and been able to stay in track without becoming a ‘diet bore’. I’m so glad I’m calorie counting now because I can factor in my weekend treats and not feel guilty. I’m also learning how to have a small amount of a treat but to stop and not gorge on things and sabotage my hard work. My jeans felt looser today :)
Got to travel next week. Hoping I’ll keep it all on track!

Really wanted a bacon sarnie for breakfast but Morrison’s cafe saved me from myself as they had a selection of fresh fruits! Was impressed that they had pretty muesli and fromage grains with fruit in lovely sundae glasses as well as fresh fruit salads. It’s so much easier to eat out when you can get healthy choices that look appetising
