Taking PRIDE in the SMALL things
A Little VICTORY in something each week on my journey to achieving my goal weight.
I feel so Proud of myself I had to write this post
This week...
yesterday and today I resisted the urge - and trust me the urge was strong! - to buy cheesels, cheese balls, twisties and rashins even though they were only $1 each per bag. These are my weakness - love em too much and far too many carbs !!!
Four weeks ago I would have purchased several bags and scoffed the lot - sounds awful but no point kidding myself - it would have happened.
Making a SMART choice is a VICTORY worth SHARING ...

Thanks to FS Buddies I learnt valuable lesson and I am giving this up....

Pulled my sciatic nerve
- OMG it is sooo sore my whole left side from bum to knee...
Still I can't let this stop me! Swimming will be ok as is low impact.
Gardening is going to be the hardest - still work must carry on. Slowly but surely it will be done.
I have applied muscle cream, taken pain meds, and applied warm Wheat Bag prior to going to do the garden job. Hopefully it will stay calm enough to work.
Any suggestions to ease Sciatic Nerve Pain would be Welcome if anyone has any ideas please....

My Diet Mantra
TOTAL HONESTY no matter what...
Whatever I consume gets recorded in my Daily Food Diary - only way it will work!
In the past I have cheated. I have not recorded things, usually naughty snack items. So on paper the diet works - of course in reality it doesn't. My Fault Completely!
If I eat it - and don't record it - doesn't mean I didn't eat it, I was just fooling myself with feel good fibs.
I want to change my weight and to do that I must change my mindset - no more fibs!

My Breakfasts are huge and using 641 Calories must seem like Madness to many.
I ONLY eat this breakfast when I'm on Night-Shift duty 11pm - 7am.
I don't eat anything during the shift - I just never feel hungry during the middle of the night time and the morning is super busy... so snacking just doesn't happen. Coffee gets me through the shift.
I sleep during the day before going to work approx 1 - 4pm then have a light meal and watch a bit of tv then back to bed until 10pm - then I get ready for work.
My body clock is completely messed up so are my eating habits I guess.
However - I am DETERMINED to get to my GOAL WEIGHT and as long as MY HEAD is in the RIGHT SPACE it's ALL GOOD! My eating habits don't matter as long as I eat the right things and stick to my plan.
