I changed my RDI calories to 1400 today. It had been set at 1600 for months even though I was not consuming that amount. Looking at my diet calendar, I saw that although I might bump up a little over 1400 some days, I mainly stay below that. 1400 seems like a more realistic ceiling.

I've weighed 142 since Sunday, but was waiting to record to see if it 'stuck'. (Oh ye of little faith....right?) This week I kept an eye on keeping my fat up in ratio to protein. I also decided to see if Coke Zero (my soda of choice) might be an issue with the aspartame. I ran into the Coke man at Target and he told me that they still make Diet Coke w/ Splenda, Target doesn't stock but he told me my local grocers that do. Kroger had 4 12 packs for 12 bucks, so guess who has a cache? I'm not sure how much credence I give the aspartame thing, but I am willing to try.
Long story short (shoot that phrase please!), I am happy my weight is down.

For my birthday today my friend took me out to brunch. I had the eggs florentine and took the english muffins out from under and put them on a side plate for discard. I would have been okay but for the fact the 'french' bistro we went to had frites. I passed on the fresh french bread offered at the beginning because I thought why add wheat to your body when you've been this long without it? Same logic to the english muffins. But the fries I caved on. Just too good to pass. I haven't planned any supper yet. I would love something chocolate as a birthday treat!

Little by little. My weight went up during the weigh-in interim. Course corrected the water. As they say in AA: progress not perfection.

I was deep in a dream this morning when my phone rang with a robo-call notification of a delayed opening for my son's school due to freezing rain. 5:30 AM! Arrgh. My son got up and went to the gym at 5:45. Freezing rain didn't stop him. Need to learn from that boy! hehehe
