Down from 12 stone 4lbs to 11 stone 1.5 lbs....

So I have been super good with my diet this week, and I am still sticking to water only for drinks, often with a slice of fruit in it, and only something a bit naughtier for a treat. Feeling so much better for it!

My skin on my arms (which are looking slimmer and more toned!) has completely cleared - I think this due to the exercise and the increased blood flow rather than the water consumption, though that is bound to help. Really pleased with that. I have upped my weights and lowered the amount on reps, I have seen a sudden change in my arms. Not quite Madonna's but no longer so wobbly (at nearly 34 the bingo wings had started to set in....)

The cellulite on the back of my legs (which was really, really terrible) has improved considerably - again I think this is due to the diet and cutting out all the processed crap, plus all the cycling and running.

I still wouldn't say my fitness is very high despite all the working out I do - I wonder if my asthma is to blame for this - and I seem to lose this very quickly ( I've just gone back after four weeks off due to illness).... but I wonder if this is perhaps normal for everyone. I seem to lose energy mid-workout and wonder how anyone ever manages to train for bigger challenges like a marathon. But I'm not training for a marathon so that really isn't a helpful thought!

So all in all feeling much better about myself! This journey started properly in October so it has been six months. I reasoned that it took years to get myself into such bad shape and so it is going to take years to get out of it, and to build good habits again.

I have gone back to being Vegetarian this week (I was meat eating for the last 9 months) and so I wonder if this will also make a difference.

The weight is still coming off but it is very slow and steady - which has to be a good thing - but I will really be so chuffed once I have gone under the 11 stone mark. That will be me happy. I have one and a half pounds to go.

So I have really started making changes to my diet.

I am no longer eating anything processed - I cut out crisps and chocolate a long time ago but now I won't even buy pasta sauce (mostly because of the high sugar content), instead now I cook everything from scratch. I'm finding it enjoyable actually!

Today I walked to work and yesterday I did 15k in the gym. Really aching today but know this is the only way to get the weight off as I am now plateauing! One last pound and I will have done my first stone. Really want to be looking and feeling good for cyprus.

No longer drinking squash, preferring water only and a splash of orange/lemon freshly squeezed if wanting something a little tangy. I don't know how much difference these changes make but they have got to be better. The only down side to all this is my bad skin - getting hot and sweaty in the gym is not doing my complexion much good.

Finally in the Fjallraven trousers my man got me!

Hoping the next time I log in I will finally be able to report a full stone off. Feeling really motivated and happy!
