13 April 2014
OK, so the food choices weren't the greatest today, even though I stayed close to the 1500 kcal limit I set. In looking at my intake, I've decided to skip the hash browns from breakfast and to skip desert at lunch. That will drop almost 500 kcal from my daily intake. That will be a great benefit for this road trip. Which is why I like FS. If you enter your food it tells you where your problem areas are.
Just a quick update on another item which was on my mini to do list. I got the results back from my blood work and cholesterol dropped from 209 to 176. 33 points, I'm amazed. All the other tests showed improvement as well. The only weak spot in the whole panel was Hdl which I need to get down a little bit more.
Everyone have a great evening and keep drinking the water. And be thankful today is a rest day from the 24 Day AB Challenge. Euheide, Deb_N, Happy 2014 and RoeCampy we can do this, even if we have to break it up into sets, we can do this. We'll finish this challenge together and the "after" pics will be well worth the effort.

P.S. I can still see the vertical line from my sternum to my belly button, I'm thrilled.....

12 April 2014
A Good Saturday Evening to everyone doing the 24 Day AB Challenge. Today is day 11 and that means 65-33-42. I did them, one set no breaks, and I only took 45 seconds between crunches and leg raises. But, I did them. Towards the end of the crunches, I could tell that I was very close to having muscle cramps. I'm sure you know the feeling, but I just told myself, you're this close, work through it.
The best feeling though was when I looked in the mirror after the exercises and very definitely saw the vertical line from the sternum to my belly button. It was there, defined and I could actually see it. So thanks to everyone who is doing the challenge with me and thanks to everyone who is supporting me. This definitely will qualify for an "after" pic if the progress continues.
As I always say, "Say Thank You to someone special." So today a special thanks goes out to Deb_N, euheide, SherrieC, Happy 2014, RoeCampy, JovialJ and SanFranFan for their support and encouragement. You guys are the best and I for one, want to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Losing 1.6 kg a Week
11 April 2014
Today is day 10 of the AB challenge and I'm looking forward to the 50-50-38. Tomorrow I leave for another road-trip and taking my AB challenge print out with me and also planning on making this the trip that breaks me out of the 21's and into the 20's. It will be very easy to skip dinner on this road trip. Atlanta is the destination and I get to stand on my feet and lecture for six days - nine hours a day. I'll check in as the week goes to let everyone know how things are in the south.
Everyone have a great weekend and try to spend some time with someone special, even if that someone is you.

30-30-35 today and it's the first time I've actually felt my muscles complain of the workout. euheide, I think you're right. If we can just complete this challenge, we no doubt will have abs, and pain. The only question will be whether we can see them or not. Hopefully, the BB (belly blubber) will also be gone and the muscles will show.
Deb_N, I know you're doing this and I hope you stick with it, no matter how hard it seems, just grit your teeth and grind through.
Happy 2014, you promised after pics, and I promised bubbly, so I've already iced the bubbly, now you just have to finish the challenge.
