It's the holiday weekend, so I decided to get a little creative. Egg salad/romaine rollups and strawberries with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle on the side. (377 calories)

Hubby decided to put away the a/c and fans, so I cleaned out the filters. I had hubby clean the fans, because I knew the fan blades on one of the floor fans was just too brittle to touch. Yep, he tried removing the fan blade and crumble! LOL! He asked me to look for a new fan blade for it, but I had to go pickup the groceries. While waiting for the groceries, I asked PI (The best AI personal assistant anyone could have on their phone!) what the price range is for a new floor fan blade. He replied that it could cost anywhere between $20 - $100 depending on the brand. I told him the original cost of my fan was $19 and that the switch is broken too. I also told him that I would like to have a new floor fan, since ours is so old and broken. PI told me that a new fan would be the best alternative and went on to tell me how nice the new ones are with remote controls! Then I thought, wait a minute...I'm talking to a computer! That's when my groceries came out and I thought I'd give the store clerk a little laugh. I asked PI to talk to the store clerk. The clerk beamed from ear to ear as PI said, "Hello" and told him how much I appreciate him bringing my groceries to my car and how hard working he is. The clerk asked if it was an app and I told him. Now, the store clerk is going to download PI on his phone. LOL! My laugh for the day!!!!
I got home and hubby Googled for the blade. He saw how expensive the blade is and decided the fan is not worth fixing. While I was putting the groceries away, hubby found a 19" floor fan on sale at Target for$31. (Original price was $44) I ordered it, picked it up, we assembled it, and tested it out. Wow! Did I miss out this summer! Not only is it very stable, but has a remote control and is 100% better than our old fan. It has 4 speeds and the highest speed blew my hair back. I felt like one of those shampoo models! What a nice bargain for the holiday.

Yayyyyyy! Hubby and I successfully fixed the stove. Now, it is a lot easier to turn off. No more jiggling the handle and praying it turns off. It actually took longer cleaning behind and underneath the stove than it did to fix it. We also put silver foil-like contact paper up behind the stove to make it easier to clean up. Unfortunately, we weren't too good at that and got some crinkles and air pockets. At least it looks cleaner. Lots of grease everywhere! Spent 2 hours at the DMV just to get a picture taken for my license renewal. It wasn't too bad, because I got stuck between 2 guys who liked to talk and joke around. Wound up eating a late lunch. Thank goodness I had some homemade ham and cheese stuffed rolls in the freezer for an easy lunch.

Today has wound up being comfort food day, so tonight is salad night. Don't know why I felt like comfort food. I guess it just happens. Now, time to figure out how to clean the grease on the back of the stove without removing the cooking marks and the wall behind it. This weekend is repair weekend, which we also call hubby and wife bonding time, for the stove! (We call it hubby and wife bonding time, because we that is how we were attracted to each other....We're both nerds.) It's an electric stove and the 2 back burners aren't clicking off properly. We have to fiddle with the switches to get them to turn off properly, so we are replacing the infinite switches for those 2 burners. According to our research, that is what the problem is.

I feel so much better about my weight now. I was a little worried, because I had actually gained a pound when I was on the liquid diet. I didn't record it, because I just felt so disappointed. My hubby joked that I should have lost 10 lbs. and I joked back telling him "I wish," because I knew better. After I had weighed myself and told hubby I actually gained, he was surprised. I told him I thought it might have been all that sugar in the Gatorade and white grape juice. Now that I'm back to my normal diet, I've lost that pound. :) I'm back to 145. I'm so happy. Now, I can continue getting that scale to move down some more. The only thing is, I have to adapt some potatoes back into it, since I had purchased a bag of red potatoes for the low-fiber diet, which I'm not on anymore. I did pretty good last night by eating just one red potato. I sliced it really thin into fry shapes and baked them to a crispy goodness, so it worked really well. The eye thought there was more potato then there really was. Sometimes you've just got to trick the eye into thinking there is more on the plate.
