Bcoulal's Journal, 02 Feb 16

Have faith in yourself and nothing else will matter. Like always, practice what you preach, have integrity, and the results will speak for themselves in the end.

People will question and doubt you until the results come out. One of two things will happen: 1. No one will have a comment because their doubts and fears were dispelled by your achievement or 2. They'll continue to ask the same rhetorical questions as before, because truth is stranger than fiction and no one wants to step out of their comfort zone and take a risk from a different angle. ...Or 3. They'll go into denial mode and accuse you of taking drugs or steroids. Number 3 happens to me all the time. lol

If you find something that works, keep doing it. If it doesn't work, then why are you still doing it?

Love your posts! I live in a small southern town where there are LOTS of obese, not overweight but, obese people. I cannot count the times that I've been accused of taking drugs. Ketones and caffeine are the only drugs in my system...lol. I think Einstein said it best when he said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results".

Lol, I live in the South as well and grew up eating everything fried and drinking sweet tea. Potatoes, wheat bread, spaghetti, carbs, carbs, mcdonalds, and more carbs were my diet for over 30 years. I finally came to my senses and said enough was enough and changed my life for the better. If I can do it, you can too.

Oh, yes, the southern staples...lol. You look AHHHHHMAZZZZZZING BTW! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm down 88 lbs so far. I would really love to keep my size, but trade off the fat for muscle. Ahhh... I keep telling myself that I'm going to start back lifting. Telling myself isn't going to get the results if I don't actually pick up something, huh?? lol

Btw, that picture is a result of 100% diet and zero exercise. For 6 months straight I concentrated on eating the same diet regimen everyday. I didn't care about fitness because lack of fitness wasn't the problem. The problem was that I was addicted to carbs and I had to find out how to stop that madness. The keto diet makes you feel more full more often because since carbs are no longer taunting your brain to eat more of it, you're free from carb addiction. I stayed away from carbs, especially the sweet food, because it's the sweet food that tempts you back into stuffing your face with carbs. Ignore the temptation and soon it will dissolve into history and the new you will emerge. The old is gone and the new has come. Rise from the ashes, you aren't destroyed, you've been reborn.

Agreed. I also do keto, and was/am a carboholic. I lost my first 66 in 6 months. It just kind of gets tedious at my current weight. I'm now doing an elimination diet to see if food sensitivities have anything to do with it. Fitness for me on the other hand is a problem. I need some muscle to fill out the skin from weight loss before it gets any worse.
