shrinkingmyfatarse's Journal, 05 Dec 21

Between September and mids of November I completely lost my control.

I was severely hard-core binge-eating like 2-3 days a week (probably like 4000 cal each time). It’s what happens when you restrict yourself for a long period of time. I did a very healthy diet actually, but very low in calories, for almost an entire year.

Then when you restart to eat and feel like eating junk, you go all in. For real I was eating pancakes with Nutella, peanut butter, Jam, muffins, doughnuts, chocolates, chips, cookies… in one day! Lol It resulted in weight gain, ofc, I can feel it.

I don’t know how much I’ve gained but I suspect I’m probably 5kg extra more or less… I haven’t got the courage yet to go up in the scale.

But also, I think my body needed this. Like, I was constantly cold, feeling numbness in my hands and feet, even lost my period for six months… and now that I’ve gained weight back… All of that stopped. I’m no longer cold (and it’s winter) and my period came back last month (although its due again🤔).

But good news is… I feel myself strong again and focused and can tell I’m losing again. So… by this coming week-end I think I’m going to check my weight, and start tracking it again until Christmas. Wish me luck everyone!

I am reading 500 calories below B.M.R. Slow and steady wins the race. About a pound a week. The amount is reasonable for life, and the maintenance of it love.
