M.H.'s Journal, 13 Jun 14

Well yesterday I woke up after a very restless sleep and found myself unhappy, anxious and so on. I said I need a day. I stayed home after dropping off the kids. I went right back to bed a slept for 3.5 hrs and then took a bit to wake up after and get out of the rut I was in. I think I was getting to my breaking point stress wise and had to call it or my body would. I did some yard work and laundry and cleaned up some odds and ends and felt much better and accomplished. I could breath, and I had the chance to set things out of my mind at least until next week. My hubby is doing his final exam for school today and should be home very late tonight. I think I've been more stressed than him! This will mark the end of his 3rd yr and now there is only a 3 month stretch to go and he'll be done. Thank goodness! I haven't lost more this week but I haven't gained anything either so a win non the less! Maybe I'll lose over the weekend! I'd settle for that!

Sounds like you did good listening to what your body was telling you yesterday. Stress can do bad things to us so helping to relieve it has a payoff. Hope your husband does well on the exam.

I would like to suggest a nice glass (or two) of red wine this evening to help you unwind. :) I know not everyone drinks, but I find that it works wonders on stress if used in moderation.

Thanks so much for the tip on relaxing with wine. I'm not a big wine drinker as it makes me cranky but a good rum and diet coke I think maybe two will surely take the edge off and I will be doing that tonight for sure! That is to say if nothing else goes wrong. My SUV crapped out at lunch!!! Well My brother in law saved me and has plans with me tonight anyway so in the end it'll all work out. Now I just hope that my hubby makes it home and that we can get the SUV going again it might just be the battery:P Well have a great weekend everyone and keep on trucking!
