Dear Journal
It's been awhile since I've entered anything in my journal. There are a lot of excuses but no good reasons for this. I feel I've fallen by the wayside and deviated from the plan. Not badly, but just haven't been able to budge from my current weight of 161 lbs. there....I did it. I recorded my weight unofficially. I joined a new challenge...keeping calorie input below 1200 calories a day and to record everything for 12 weeks. That's a long time. Hope I can do it.
Well...dragon boat season is here again which is great. I've been out with my team 3 times now and am looking forward to the upcoming festival next weekend. It's great to reconnect with team members. I love getting back on the water and enjoy the exercise. I feel stronger and fitter this year than last after having spent more time in the gym. The previous winter was brutal, sitting front of the computer while completing my thesis. Now with all that behind me (yeah!!) I can devout more time to getting out.
My next challenge will be this weekend as my husband and I along with a few other friends head south across the border to go shopping (which is a favorite pastime of us Canadians). Eating out and recording everything might be a challenge, but I find shopping always a motivation to watch what I eat. Should be fun.
Have a great day.

Hi! At least you have just deviated. Good luck at the challenge. It will be challenging. I would join you but I’m in the middle of a challenge even though I'm failing. It sounds like you are experienced and knowledgeable dragon racer. I have done with work…the price included someone teaching us. I am also Canadian and live in Calgary. Have a great weekend. Our $ is not great => harder to find those deals. Good luck!

Have family in Calgary. Nice place to visit. I love being so close to the mountains. Regarding the challenge, For some odd reason, I find that I do better when I join one. Maybe it's because of a concrete commitment and promise to follow through or maybe because of the added accountability. Anyway, good luck with your challenge.
