I haven’t stopped trying but those late night cravings are hard to avoid. I did well yesterday until around 8:30 pm while watching Netflix…the bewitching hour for me. It’s hard to stop the cravings but I need to continue to try. Went to the gym yesterday which is good. Its hard to get going again after the 2 1/2 years away due to Covid but every journey begins with a single step.

Well thanksgiving has come and gone with lots of leftover lean turkey meat and ham plus delicious broth from the turkey carcass for soup. I’m trying hard to eat less but not hard enough I guess cuz that scale just won’t tip downwards. I wish there was an internal electronic device we could get that could record everything we ate automatically as we ate it, including all those small snacks that we grab as we pass the peanut dish or the leftover cheeseball. It could beep and tell us the calories and macros we’d just eaten. What a terrific invention. Recording by hand and remembering all the ingredients and the exact amount is so hard. But it works, if only we actually do it. So let’s do it. We can all encourage each other!,

Not doing so well with my goals because I thought I could just keep mental track of my food intake. Guess what…it doesn’t work that way. I personally find I am way more successful if I record my food. My weight hadn’t budged at all so here I go again. I’m also thinking about going to the gym close by. Sheesh. I know what’s involved just not sure I can do it. I did record my food today so that’s a start. No excuses.

True confessions: It’s time for me to begin again and refresh my goals, along with my habits and change to a healthier lifestyle focus. I e been away from this site for about 2 years. Sadly I’ve regained just about all the weight I’d lost in 2019/2020. So now, with the discipline of recording everything I eat for at least 1 month (I think I can do this) plus increase my exercise routine, I hope to get back on track. It’s so easy to slip off the rails and for those medical markers of BP, cholesterol, and blood sugars to gradually creep up. My goal is to actually start over again.
I’ll report back here in the next week or so to update my status on how I’ve actually done. Meantime, I plan to record my intake here and to report in a general way on the exercise charts, how much I’ve done…usually according to my activity tracker. Cheers!
