Feeling frustrated today. I really want to get back to where I was last week with my momentum. I have been packing lunch and eating as well as I can...making healthy choices...it is just that I have not been active enough. I let it go too many days and I am sore. I went for a warm-up walk around campus this afternoon but I need to get on the stationary bike...sweat up a storm. Why is it so hard to get back to? Why am I so demotivated? I know my TOM is right around the corner...I want to get ahead of my water retention and weigh in well this week...I doubt it is going to happen though as I havent been working out enough.

*sigh*

Wish me luck, my head WANTS to, my body doesn't....any motivational tips or tricks to solve this?

Aww, I really wish someone would bottle motivation and sell it. I'm so glad your healthy eating hasn't changed, that's most of the battle right there. Silly as it sounds keep pushing that water to help with the water retention. As for the exercise, baby steps I'm thinking, just make yourself start small and slow and hopefully you will be back to where you were before in a few weeks time. I'm sorry girl, I wish I was there, we could do this together, but I know you can do this, I just know you can (O:

Concentrate on the things that you are doing right, and the rest will follow! Packing Lunches and making healthy choices are both very very great steps! (Sometimes I find that picking just one thing to work on for the week picks me up quickly) - All of the best, Sylvia

Not that I'm one to talk, but you can't wait till you feel like doing it, you just have to do it. After a few days of forcing yourself, if will just be habbit.

Just thought of something; maybe you could add a simpler work out to your list of things that you could do. For example, most mornings I get up a half an hour earlier than I used to and I walk for 30- 45 minutes. It has become a habit, and I rarely fell like I have to work hard to get started. I can even be almost asleep when I go out the door. I still sometimes do other big workouts, but at least I have done something good for myself at the start of the day.

I agree with exercising early in the day - that means you've gotten it in by 9am and you don't have to worry about the rest of the day. I try to get my first treadmill done by no later than 10.30. That gives me plenty of time to eat and rest before I get on again. Come on - you can do it!!!!!!!!
