Nicely spiced Swahili inspired dish.
Ingredients
Directions
- Cook ground beef and onions over medium heat until brown and skim fat.
- Add curry powder, garlic, ginger and tomatoes and fry for about 5 minutes.
- Add cinnamon and cilantro, stir and add water, salt to taste.
- Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat to blend flavors. Serve over rice.

Reviews
Made this with 93% lean beef and served it over cauliflower rice. The combination was fabulous. Omitted cilantro since I didn't have any. Next time may try 1/2 ground turkey breast and 1/2 ground beef.

Pretty good, my husband didn't like it served over rice (i'm on adkins so did eat it this way). He is Kenyan and said it didn't much resemble anything they eat at home, but was good anyway.

This is a great dish, tasty and easy to make, I added some chilli to the dish and used a little les cilantro. Had it with mashed cauliflower and green beans.
