I love the negatives in these comments... I indulge in a cookie or an candy bar typically once a week. I try to do it post workout with my protein because it's when my metabolism is highest, and let me tell you, it's delicious. Fat and sugar can both be part of a balanced diet in moderation. I've even eaten real ice cream before... OMG stop the Internet... That being said, I would not keep these around my house, as I do not have the self control required to pass a plate of cookies without taking one, or two...

Woah, don't put shortening. Use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Instead! Healthier alternative? I think so! But still, the cookies are yummy. :)

In moderation, this can be healthy eating. They are good, rich cookies, and with a glass of milk one can be a snack. In a healthy diet (perhaps not one where you are trying to rapidly lose weight) certain foods and fats need to be enjoyed in moderation. Great recipe. :) A good treat if you have the willpower to limit yourself to one or two!

This is ridiculous. This is not healthy eating.

Butter? Shortening? I don't think so. These are not going to help me at all.
