I'm sorry MissyGrizzy. Hold on, I'm sure you will breakthrough 190 eventually. Patience is not my strong suit either😊 I am not doing keto but heard about the "whoosh" of weight loss that happens on this program and pray your whoosh is on the way!

I notice this happens often -- that weight that we can't seem to break through. I always wonder if it's our emotions that cause the body to want to stay in that comfort zone range. I really do think that the body will always strive for homeostasis and it can be influenced by our mind (that mind can trick our poor bodies a lot!). Hang in there, stay steady with your WOE and you will break through.

You can do it. I totally understand weight loss can be frustrating, but it's worth the effort and patience. Maybe try a different approach? Just a thought.. Sometimes approaching from a different perspective and/or technique can make a difference. :-)

Don't let this discourage you... this happens to many people trying to lose weight. You've simply platued and your weight loss has stalled. The older we get the chances of this happening increase. But don't despair... it simply means it's time to switch up on your exercise routine...if your walking adds a little dance to it, if you're working out at home with aerobics start adding light weights to your workouts. Your muscles need to be challenged... once you engage them in a new way they'll respond and begin burning fat again.
I know by viewing my profile that it may seem I don't know what I'm talking about, but for many years I was 120lbs and wore a size 4. That all changed when my health took a turn for the worst. I found out I had heart disease. I'm more stable now so here I am working hard to lose these extra pounds I've packed on by the sedentary life I've been living for 10 years. It a bit harder to lose weight now that I'm older and battling several illnesses at once... but I'm determined. I did the same thing and stopped losing weight in my 3rd month and now I'm trying something new. I managed to lose a bit more than expected at first but now I'm at a standstill.
I'll be rooting for you and I wish you all the best. Stay focused... my motto in life has always been "PATIENCE, PERSISTENCE, and PERSEVERANCE. It might help you too to pick a motto for your weight loss journey. Good luck.

I got stuck at 190lbs too. I was just frozen there for months. Then all of the sudden without changing my diet or exercise I dropped 10-15lbs in a couple of weeks. Just keep at it.

I’m sorry you are feeling down today. Tomorrow is a new day. And this is a marathon, not a sprint. Just be consistent and positive! I swear that being positive and having self love helps a lot. Recite a self love mantra.

Every person losing weight is an individual. It may be that the amount of fat and food in general you consume is too much for your metabolism and your lifestyle. High fat doesn't mean gorge fat at every opportunity. I know that some, often very active people can do that and still lose weight, but I can't and I don't know anyone who can. Try reducing the amount of fat, and trim your portion sizes a bit. Try also - very hard! - to increase activity a little.
I've lost 152 pounds in total on vegetarian Atkins. I did try keto for a while but alas I gained weight fast. Dr. Atkins says that eating low carb does not mean eating very large quantities of food. If a person finds it hard to lose weight, or to break a stall, they may need to reduce quantities. Some don't need to, but others - I myself - do.
I cannot eat large amounts of fat - any kind, coconut oil, whatever - without regaining. Mess with your food a bit and see if this makes a difference.
Good luck! x

Going through the same thing myself right now. I stepped on the scale to see I had gain weight this week and I was so mad at myself. I have not lost as much as I would like either but I realized today that I worked damn hard to lose what I did so I am going back at it today hard. Hang in there. This can be done.

Keep but the good work. Try juicing for as many days as possible. This way your body has a chance to detox itself.

Thank you all so much! Your wisdom means so much to me and I appreciate the experience of all of your individual journeys. You all inspire me! Today is a better day. Last night, after I emotionally ate my whipped cream, I peed like 6 times. Maybe that was the whoosh? I'm 190.4 this morning and the excitement has returned! Much love and many blessings to you all. Your support has helped me more than you know. Thank you.

Nice to hear things are better both on the scale and with your motivation Miss Griss. As mentioned above, weight loss is seldom linear, plateaus are to be expected along the way, working through each one as you move towards goal weight will give you more tools, determination and resolve the next time you are stuck. The tools and resolve you gain along the way will also REALLY help when you get to maintenance mode...where we hopefully can stay in a perpetual plateau of healthy consistent body fat %.
