Well, I had vowed not to weigh in again until I was below the prior weight, but having just got back from vacation (calories/carbs do not count when on vacation, I want to see how long it takes to lose the 5 lbs I gained. One thing I learned is that, in spite of the bum knee, walking with a brace on does not seem to bother it. I did 5.2 miles the first day -- mostly trying to make connections on planes -- and I was tired but it was not sore. Kept it up all week. I think if it were not for the fresh baked croissants every morning at our Air BnB and the craft beers, I would have lost weight. Moral: Walking is good.
