As long as you are under your carb limit- it might have to do with high sodium. I notice that I flucuate between 2-3lbs depending on what my sodium level is. I can always tell because my ring on my finger which is normally loose, gets tight!

Thanks for the info. I'll try to stay away from salt. No Anchovies I guess.

Actually if you read the book the Atkins diet suggests increasing your salt intake due to the diuretic effects of a low carb diet. The Atkins Diet is also a High Fat (saturated fat primarily) moderate protein, low carb diet. The reason to eat low car is to control your insulin response to foods. Fats incur no insulin response while carbs cause a large insulin response. Excessive protein can also cause an insulin response. You also need to not under eat as it can cause you to stall. I strongly encourage you to read (or reread) the latest book.

Your net carbs are very low... stay at the 20 carbs. You may just be having a plateu. Stress will halt my weigh loss at times as well. :) Chin up! You are doing awesome!

Three lbs in four days does suggest water retention. You usually don't gain OR lose real lbs in that amount of time. I know little or nothing about the new Atkins. Like Mike says, you might want to restudy Atkins' latest book. Good luck!
