The scale is saying I'm dropping weight but I think I'm just losing retained water from womanly hormone stuff. What kind of daily weight fluctuations do you women experience?
64.4 kg Lost so far: 1.4 kg.    Still to go: 3.2 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I can deviate 2-3 lbs in one day. I weigh myself first thing in the morning then not again for the rest of the day.

2 to 3 percent weight variation is normal for all 49 genders, not just female females. At 142 lbs you are already there compared to the rest of us! Slow and steady wins the race.
