I have been on plateau and learned that changing up food helps. Seems like my body was holding on, feeling deprived. I made mistake of cutting down and went into starvation phase. Hair loss. Don't go there. Just be patient, success comes with determination to stay on track. Hope I helped. Happy Thanksgiving!

You have lost 90 pounds! I am sure you will be able to lose the rest eventually - you body needs to catch up with the miracle!

DJ and HCB have good comments. You don't want to starve yourself, because your brain puts your body into the starvation mode. Like HCB say your body does have to catch up. Be happy with your smaller size clothing and measurements; those are the signs of your weight loss.

Hi to all. Just wanted to tell Sheri and the other FS members about a very interesting article on MSN Lifestyle. It was entitled, "12 ways to boost your metabolism as you age" by dietitian Cassie Bjork, RD,LD. They all hit home, but #3"Stop counting calories" really hit home. I started FS look for a site that gave calories in foods. Number 12 "Pump Iron" may be the one other FS members will be interested in. It says that cardio exercises are good, but "Strength and resistance training have also been shown to leave the biggest boost on metabolism post-workout." I think we all could benefit by what she writes in article.
