I wouldn't get disheartened by 1lb - it could be water, a sluggish gut, anything like that. Persevere and keep your chin up. Take care of yourself

Poppycom, the human body can fluctuate by much more than that in a day, for all kinds of reasons, so don't let this bring you down. Remember, the scale doesn't know when you've had too much salt, or not enough sleep, or hormones are kicking in. The scale doesn't know the difference between water and fat, and in addition, as you lose weight, it's not always going to be a perfect "downward step" on the scale, even if you track perfectly every day (trust me on this, I've learned that if nothing else, what matters is consistency, so even when the scale spikes, you just keep doing the right thing)! As long as you keep your journal as accurate as possible, and trust that you are burning more than you eat - you will - I PROMISE - lose weight. Sometimes it will just be a bit erratic, and that's normal. :)

We have a medical scale in the bathroom at work (hospital), and I've lost and gained 3 lbs. Don't let it get to you. If your clothes are getting looser and the inches are becoming less you're rocking it.

Drink plenty water. Flushing the system helps with weight loss.....

Doesn't take much water retention to cause a one pound gain. Sounds wrong, but drink plenty of water, Scout's right it will flush the system.
