I'm making progress reducing caloric intake, but I need to do more. I need to find healthier foods to eat. Coke might have to go, but I'm concerned if I deprive myself too much I won't be successful.
101.2 kg Lost so far: 0.9 kg.    Still to go: 24.0 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.

You can do it! Lose the Coke! Easier said then done, i know. The best advice, i have ever taken, is to do one thing at time. When I started my journey years ago...someone advised me to concentrating on one thing at a time...each week tweek a little bit...so that i did not go in complete shock...I too was afraid of not being successful and failing. So I made a list...and each week changed something. My problem was not soda or junkfood...I am a carb girl and LOVE THEM...i could live off them...i needed nothing else...oh and i loved sugar and cream in my coffee. Today, many moons later, i only drink black coffee and i cheat once a week on my carb.

You definitely need to lose the cokes! That is just empty carbs and are horrible for your teeth! Pour coke on a car and it will eat the paint right off of it. Or soak a boiled egg in a coke overnight and it will eat the shell right off. Now if an acid is hard enough to eat paint off a car and shell off an egg, what would it do to your teeth and gums? We see soft drink decay in our office all the time. LOSE THE COKES! You can do it. I used to be addicted to DR Pepper! I now drink 2 cups of coffee with just splenda every morning then water the rest of the day. Now, if I have a coke float I use diet coke and only a few ounces. Don't deprive yourself or look at it that way. Just think, if I want to be successful, I need to drink that water, not that soda. You are only cheating yourself if you go ahead with the soda right? My best to you. I wish you success.
