If you can follow those first two weeks to the letter, it should make a difference in the way you view food. The idea is to get you used to not needing bad fats and bad carbs and to gradually re-introduce good ones in their place. The amount lost is not that important although many people report fairly good loses in those first two weeks. Some people stretch out Phase 1 for a while more but that depends on the individual. That sentence you wrote up there sounds like the beginning of a very successful journey IMHO. Good luck susieq!
