48.8 pounds lost since 4/15/2015Must have been retaining water ;-)Actually I must have been but if I was, it wasn't being released to flush sugar out as my reading was 96 this morning. It is weird how the body can go on a losing binge and then gain a couple of pounds and then dump it. That's why I don't panic when my weight jumps up for seemingly no reason.
One thing I would like to see but won't is the fat coming off exactly where I want it to. *sigh*
Took the weight twice, notice the placement on the bathroom floor tiles and this is my brand new scale with the high ratings from Amazon.
I have edited yesterday's journal entry to show what other food I had yesterday after breakfast.
CommentaryI have had comments here about eating out of a jar or fast food blah blah
and I would like to address that issue here. I also plan on talking about this in the ebook that I have begun, and by the way, the intro has been written, thanks for asking.
Although I can do rudimentary cooking, this isn't my house or my kitchen that is used. Plus by nature, I am a little lazier than I used to be. Like a lot of folks hanging out here, I have time commitments, places to go etc so time is an issue. In a perfect world, there would be no fast food stops. But this isn't that world and the majority of Americans do the fast food thing all the time. So my take on it now that I am struggling with insulin resistance and pre diabetes, is to try to choose the fare wisely. I haven't had a hamburger since I talked to the doctor in April. I haven't had the giant shredded beef burrito with rice and beans from Pepe's either. What I have had is Mexican fare that has still allowed me to lose weight(see pics in previous journal entries) as well as fantastic salads like the one from Carls Jr. I confess that I recently fell off the wagon and had the new 49 cent fried peach pie from Mcd's, it was fabulous- maybe because I don't do the sugar thingie anymore. Perhaps even like eating a "forbidden fruit."
I am flat out saying that one can lose weight eating fast food, if you choose items that will work with your body's individual needs. Only you know what those needs are. I will say however don't fall prey to your cravings unless it is for something that will help you. So drop that cream filled donut please.
Do not feel guilty if you fall off the wagon once. If you make it a habit though that could be a problem. You will know pretty quick, either inches or pounds will tell you in clear terms if you are falling back into comfortable old habits.
Old habits I might add that could doom you to failure in your weight loss efforts.
EDIT:
Breakfast/brunch. Sauteed calabasas with refried beans and Mexican style pork, ribs? Very tasty. Let me set you a plate.
