I gained a pound. I'm not working out much, but I wasn't as strict on calories over the weekend. My guess is that it's water weight because I ate some salty foods the day before.
Surprisingly, I'm not discouraged. I recently decided to cut out almost all of the white sugar from my diet. After reading that it contributes to not only belly fat, but a disease I battled a while back, I decided to take sugar seriously and cut it out of my diet. This is definitely not a trend or a fad for me, I know it's the right thing to do and I haven't even been tempted because I feel like it has been the root of a lot my my health problems.
My lethargy is gone, and even though I gained a pound, I lost a big part of my belly pooch in a week. I have also been working on being very conscious about adding a lot more high fiber and good proteins (beans and nut butters) to my diet.
I feel fantastic and I'm not as stressed about losing the weight. It doesn't feel like a magical mystery formula to lose weight anymore. It feels like as long as I keep the sugar away, and consciously add in high fiber and healthy protein, I'll slowly lose the weight and lethargy that has followed me into my 30's.
