I haven't gained pounds on the scale but I feel like I'm looking more chunky around the waist. My job has thrown a kink into my healthy eating plan. I've been at my new job for almost 3 months now and just can't get my eating on a good schedule. I've tried taking short breaks to get a morning and afternoon snack into my day but it's just not happening consistently. Work has been extremely busy and with all the snow days and early closings I feel like I can't even squeeze in a small break and get my job done properly. I have found that I can easily munch on a nut mix on my ride home and it keeps me from snacking while I'm getting dinner ready. At least I've got that under control. Now I have to figure out a way to get my behind off the couch at night and get to the gym or at least do something at home. I sit there and say, "you really should just get up and jog in place or something" but can't seem to get off the couch and do it. I think that should be my goal for this week, to get off the couch at least 3 nights and either go to the gym or do something! I'll start small and work my way up. I missed pilates this morning because I was digging the snow out of the driveway but my daughter called and asked if we could help them do their driveway (it's quite big and she has tendonitis) so I think I'll get my exercise in today. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Today the sun is shinning and I hear we are in for warmer weather near the middle and end of the week so if nothing else, February is half done and we're that much closer to Spring!!

Sometimes it's bloat but stress will cause thickening around the waist.. hopefully you can get a break.

It sounds like you're doing your best with your new job obligations, & you're not gaining, so good for you. Give yourself time to adjust & just do what you can along the way… slow & steady wins the race! I'm such a morning person, I know it'd be hard for me to workout too if I had to do it in the evening after a full day at work. Any chance you can do it before work? That's what I used to do when I did work full-time. Regardless, I'm sure that too will sort itself out & with the longer days coming, it may be easier to get out in the evenings. xoxox
