Thank you. I’m still frustrated that I don’t understand why I’m gaining/retaining/losing. It seems I stick to the plan but the fluctuations happen without rhyme or reason, but I know that can’t be right. I’m just going to keep plugging along and hope to reach my goal. Try not to obsess about the numbers...but it’s hard.

If you're a woman, you can't avoid them. There's a myriad of reasons. Lyle McDonald wrote a great book about it with allll the reasons. The essence of the message though is fluctuations happen, don't worry. Unless you are eating 3500 calories, it's NOT a pound of weight, etc. :) Same goes for men if there's unexplained gains that are not from calorie creep or carbs. Also there's the "whoosh" factor. As long as you're measuring, too, you should see the inches go down, too. :D

same. I hope its water. I was just watching a video clip about some water retention due to inflammation when exercising can cause flux in weight

Thank you all for the support and comments. It all helps when I’m frustrated and contemplating throwing it all to the wind. I hate that I’ll never have the body that can eat whatever it wants and not have to face the consequences. I will continue to work hard!

Man do i know that feeling. i was caught in that resentment loop for so long. I think that's why this time is 'different'. I've finally accepted it. I used to get so upset that I'd have to be so restricted and how unfair it is others can lose doing XYZ, and I can't. Etc! It sucksssss. You got this. I hope today was a better day.
