Alot better this week.
98.5 kg Lost so far: 6.5 kg.    Still to go: 28.5 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 1.8 kg a Week

Great! What helped? I admire you for trying this way of life. Diabetes is a devastating disease. Insidius actually because so much of the damage occurs unknowingly, but appears almost too late. I am a nurse educator at a heart hospital and maybe 70% of our patients ar diabetics, its sad to watch the consequinces. I too know I must change my eating habits, it doesn't look so good to have an overweight nurse trying to teach you good eating habits!

redberry...Really wanting to loose the weight is the first step..if you aren't determend to do it then it isn't going to be easy...I have cut out all fat from my diet..for eg, cottage cheese I use instead of margarine,all low fat things I buy. wholegrain bread, trim milk, eat lots of fruit and vege and I must admit I am now addicted to sushi..I drink alot of water and I go to aqua jogging at the pool twice a week and the other days I walk.I have also found ways round things so I don't feel like I am missing out...I buy 99% fat free rice crackers and salsa for my dip when socialising..but I must say I am very determend not to be a diabetic so I am doing everything in my will power to stop that from happening.A positive mind and attitude definitely helps.
