I didn't realise quite how naughty I had been these last few weeks until I took stock of myself last night and realised how much better I feel just from this last week of being back on it; I'm sleeping better, my skin is clearing up, I have more energy, my stomach is happier, I feel happier in general. And seeing this absurd loss just goes to show how much salt I must have been eating; I'd say a good 5 pounds of this loss is water weight from the salt intake. We do have a few cheat days planned for various good reasons over the next 6 weeks but one cheat day compared to a cheat week is something I'm happy to work in haha!

Angelmouse1978- as I understand it too much salt causes your body to dry out, leading it to keep back more and more water to compensate. Which leads to water retention and bloating. When you start following a healthy eating plan your salt intake goes down which means your cells can drop the excess water they've been carrying. I could be very wrong about the science behind it lol, but when people say things like 'the first week is water weight' this is usually what they're taking about
