Lost another pound but something curious has happened. My body fat went up to 37% and my my muscle mass has gone done to 89lb from 92lb!

All I can deduct from that is that my muscle is turning into fat, but why?

I am walking on the treadmill for an hour every single day and I have begun to include strength exercises 3 times a week. Shouldn't I be gaining muscle from my treadmill exercise (which uses a various incline program that works my leg muscles)

If you are gaining fat and losing muscle mass, it might have to do with the kinds of foods you are eating. Are you eating a lot of high fat foods? It could also be not eating enough. You are doing quite a bit of exercise. It can take months to gain actual muscle mass. Plus, muscle doesn't turn into fat. We lose the fat on our bodies by eating lean protein, fruits and veggies. The muscle is usually underneath the fat. By exercising and doing strength training, you are on the righ track. Just keep doing what you are doing! You are doing great!
