Things to be mindful of:

* Pause and ask myself if I am really hungry or why I want to eat. Am I upset about something, discontented, fearful, bored, tired? Call someone and talk. Do a journal entry if I don't want to talk to anyone. Pray or read some literature. Get out of my thoughts by helping someone else.
* Read labels. If an ingredient is listed as the first 5 ingredients it is off limits. If in doubt leave it out.
* Let it go and ask my higher power to take it for me.
* When I restrict myself and don't eat by the evening I binge eat.
* Sometimes I don't eat because it seems I want to eat all day once I start eating.
* I never seem to be satisfied at breakfast times no matter how much I eat.
* When my sugar is high I crave sweets and starches.
* I get tired of my meals quickly, going off of my food plan.
* Drink plenty of water.
