Almost halfway through my day of liquid dieting. The store bought broth is horrible. I wish I had had the foresight to make more homemade broth before, the difference in taste isn't even comparable. Jello is helping me make it through, that and apple juice. In 24 hours I should be on solid foods again and I can't wait....I will be indulging, not even going to kid myself and say I'm not. I will be careful about it, because it would be easy to make myself sick...but definitely something I don't eat every week because it's too indulgent.

Haven't checked in here in almost two weeks. It has been busy here, but I have tried to stay as close as possible to my eating plans...it just hasn't always been possible. I reluctantly weighed today, fearing it may be up just a bit, but much to my surprise it was a small loss!
Tomorrow I will be on clear liquids all day, in preparation for my endoscopy and colonoscopy on Friday. Trying to determine why I continue to be anemic. I bought chicken broth today and made an abundance of jello. That will be my food tomorrow. Oh well, at least I don't have to plan much or prep anything. I may even sleep a bit later in the morning, since I won't be eating breakfast.

Losing 0.4 kg a Week

I have made it to the last few days of spring break week, and still have a loss to show for it! That's an accomplishment. We have ate out more than normal, but my eating patterns are off. I have kept under my 1800 calories (if the restaurant nutritional information found online is accurate)...skipped a lot of snacks though, mostly because we have slept a lot later and I just can't fit it all in. Lost 1.6 lbs this week (and I'm weighing in a day early because I won't have time to get on the computer tomorrow. It's really weird though that my weight has been dropping much faster since I haven't been able to take my walks. Perhaps a sign my calories weren't high enough when I was getting more exercise? The extra hour or two of sleep per night makes a big difference? I'm not sure what to make of it. All I know is the less I'm trying, the more I'm losing.

I'm in the two-teens! Amazed I have still been losing weight, haven't been able to take walks for two weeks. The weather has been the biggest issue, but my sinus infection has returned as well so I really haven't felt well. Almost forgot to weigh in this week, which I have really been on top of until now.
Co-op morning, so I will be out in the cold for a while. Going to take decongestants and bundle up, hope for the best. I need the produce so it's worth it.

Another loss today, .6 lbs...to 220 even. It's always nice to cross off another 10 lbs lost. I also realized I am more than halfway to the goal I want to reach before my hip surgery. Right now I'm not sure if the surgery will happen in June as planned....my surgeon is leaving, and I will be seeing a new doctor at my next appointment. While I'm sure that won't change the need for the surgery, it might impact the timeframe.
Still stuck at home, but ice is melting pretty quickly. Hoping to venture out today.
