Well, I broke down and weighed myself today. Couldn't hold out for a week. No change on the scale, which is encouraging particularly because I reintroduced a much more moderate carb allowance than my first two weeks. To be truthful, I pretty much carb-overloaded yesterday pigging out on avocado toast (English muffins, actually) most of the afternoon.
With the sharp shift in eating, it is easy to perceive how my body reacts. Carb loading = tired and hungry. Protein+fat = energetic and satisfied. Also, can feel and see the 'bloat' with the carb loading.
So, back to a more Atkins style eating plan. It's not hard to do and it just feels better for my body.
Hit the treadmill pretty hard today (for me) which also felt great. Really want to sprint towards Christmas feeling great.

I have decided not to weigh in today. I know yesterday's number was artificially low but I still don't want the emotion of seeing a higher number again.
I got in my 2L (or more) of water, didn't succumb to my cravings for bread or pasta but did 'pig out' on spaghetti squash at dinner. My exercise was virtually nil. That will be rectified today.
I keep reminding myself that 1lb a week is a good rate of weight loss. If I can keep my eye on the ball, and not let the small setbacks derail me, then I will easily reach my goals. I need to keep positive day after day.
So...treadmill later on today, and core. There's a million videos on YouTube for core work, most of them are 12 minutes or less. I have plenty of time in my day to get one done.
This week is going to be a productive one!

Had a mostly great day yesterday. Got in my exercise, ate well (even at a Christmas party filled with temptation) but drank a lot of wine. The scale will definitely read higher tomorrow!
Today: push the water.
Until tomorrow!

Losing 4.8 kg a Week

Ha! Finally strung together a couple of 'normal' days and no wild swings on the scale! Yipee!
Hit the treadmill yesterday, finally. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Will find time today to do the same.
I am creeping in on 2 weeks without bread, pasta or sugar. The physical cravings are gone but I'd be lying if I said being at a restaurant last night for dinner wasn't tempting. I managed awfully well on my peppercorn steak and salad. Oh the sacrifices! ;)
I went back through some old photos last night, not sure if it was helpful or not to see me wearing clothes too small for me now when my youngest child was under 6 months old. I still have those clothes, but I think I will resist seeing how far away I am from getting into them until after Christmas. I don't want to get frustrated right when I am getting into a groove.

Losing 1.6 kg a Week

Finally not a roller coaster movement on the scale. Ok with my steady today. I ate well, was slightly more active.
I went ahead and got my hair cut and coloured, my eyebrows waxed yesterday. I haven't paid any attention to myself in so long. It really does make a difference in how I feel about myself. Small steps, right?
Another gathering tomorrow night (and likely more tempting) I will be making an appetizer to bring. I'll try and find something that is on plan and still festive for me and the other guests.
Would like to see 166 by early next week. Christmas is closing in and so is my first goal! Need to focus and work hard.
