Finally got the scale to give me a number that is probably accurate. Down to 206! I knew my clothes were getting a lot bigger, but I'm excited to be down this far. I may have to start taking calories into acct instead of relying solely on the very low carbs.
I have been finding that I have no appetite in the mornings, and then I'm hungry all afternoon. Hmmm. Staying on track, but seems odd.

Well, I've been doing keto for a month. I wanted to weigh today, but I can't get the scale to give a reasonable #. But my measurements have changed a good bit!
Bust 50" now 48"
Waist 44" now 42.5"
Hips 49" now 49"
I figure that is success! :}
This past week, I finally decided that I needed to start cooking for myself. And I NEEDED a dessert! So I went on line, and found some good recipes. The dessert is Keto clouds or some such, but they are WONDERFUL!! How can you go wrong with Cream Cheese, butter, Splenda, and vanilla. Whip it up with mixer, TA DA! Very satisfying. I know I ate too many that first day I made them, but I used them to overcome my feeling of no dessert. Then I made up a soup recipe with chicken mushrooms, onions chicken broth. Didn't really know how to make soup with out noodles rice or potatoes, but with Trelma's help it turned out great. Last night I found a broccoli cheese soup recipe. It was great too. So trying new recipes is helping a lot.
I actually measured this morning because I put on a shirt that felt looser. Nice to know I wasn't dreaming it up.

My scale is whacko! When I weighed yesterday, I had either lost 24# or gained 50#!!!😱 😮😜 I don't know why it does that, because when I weighed today it settled right on 226#. NEED to start using the food diary. See if that will help me get to ketosis. I seem like I don't get hungry really, but my energy levels go down down down. And they don't go up very well. Can't give up now! I hear (hope) that if I get into ketosis, my energy will be higher than where I started. I better get there soon, this is getting to not be any fun.

I think I need a new scale. According to the one I have I weigh somewhere between 224 and 287. NOT HELPFUL. At least the reading is far enough off that I can tell there is a problem. I've been using the keto diet for 2 weeks, I sincerely doubt I've gained 50+ pounds! Phoey. I guess it will make me use other measures of my success, so that I don't become a slave to the scale?

I actually started on Feb 26th and was 235lbs, but I don't want to weigh until next Monday because I don't feel like I've quite got this down yet, and I want to be sure I'll have lost some weight.
