Before, when I smoked, if I got hungry or had a craving- I would smoke a cigarette and the urge to eat a damn thing went away temporarily. However, now that I don't smoke, it's so hard not to have a bite of Des' dinner. When I'm counting calories, I try to plan and prepare my own meals; this means my kid gets some pre-packaged or easy to make dinners, like mac-n-cheese or frozen waffles, sausage, and maple syrup. Tonight- I did my usual- adding two more drinks than planned BUT also had 5 small spoons full of Kraft mac-n-cheese. So many calories. SO many wasted calories. Can I stop this terrible routine? habit? The drink is too hard to give up right now. I'm still really struggling with tobacco. I can't handle giving up both. I'm just not strong enough yet. I know I will be one day. But just not now. Maybe not this year. Maybe not ever.
