On July 26, 2016 I got on the scales and weighed 215. I decided to change my life and get back down to my desired weight of 150. I managed to loose 38 lbs when my life changed drastically and became a relative parent for 2 teenage girls and to young boys. I did real good for the first 2 months making separate meals because the kids wouldn't eat the things that I ate. I gave up on my diet and put the kids first as I'm also a full time Department head manager who also carries many other titles for the food manufacturing plant that I work for. With me being on call 7 days a week and many hours of overtime, plus caring for four young adults that had appointments to go to constantly it was to difficult for me to keep up with everything that I had taken on so I gave up on my diet and made meals that the kids would eat. during that time I gained back 20 pounds of the weight that I had lost. On Nov. 10th of this year I stepped onto the scale and I was at 192. I decided it's time to get back on the diet wagon and finish what I started. I still have a goal weight of 150 and I know I can do it. I've never been a big sugar addict and for years I have tried to eliminate as much if it as I can. Potatoes and pasta are my biggest downfall. So I did very well on the first day and by the 2nd day I was in ketosis. I lost 5 pounds of mostly fluid by the 3 day which put me at 185. Sad to say life throws us curve balls and ended up having to leave home and spend 3 nights in a hotel where centennial breakfast consists of everything but low carb food. I made the best of the free breakfast and skipped lunch everyday. Tried very hard to keep calories and macros where they needed to be but really wasnt able to do what I wanted to. I did on the other do some swimming and spend time in a hot tub and walk stairs and just walk period. We got home tonight and I made a wonderful chicken stir fry for supper and ate a small portion in which it was very satisfying as I was still full from the very small breakfast that I ate. I refuse to step on the scales as I want to wait until Monday rolls around. I made a deal with myself to only weigh in on Monday so that I dont get discouraged. I found a long time ago that weighing myself everyday is frustrating and it plays an emotional game with my head. So this time around its once a week. Even though I didnt eat the way I wanted to be able to eat over the past three days I can honestly say that I'm doing great in spirits and confident that I will see a loss come Monday as long as I continue to stay on track over the weekend. Please wish me luck.
