With the return of the cold weather comes more time in the house to rummage through the cabinets. The job search is still on and still annoying. My weight has gone up one pound which doesn't sound like much but worries me because I've seen this before. I've decided that instead of snacking I'm going to try to have a cup of herbal tea and see if that keeps me from munching on some cookies or other not so good for me carbs. I found an herbal tea that is so good, so I bought a big bag and I'm ready to have a serious tea party! Hope everyone has a great Thursday.

I thought that if I knew what was causing me to over eat, I could stop over eating but I guess it doesn't work that way. I feel very stressed and that usually causes my sweet tooth to over act. I knew that looking for a job would be stressful and take a long time but I thought that by knowing that, I could stop the raiding of the cookie cabinet. I also keep reminding myself it will take a while to find a job but am so disappointed when I apply for a good job and get rejected. One of the websites lets you see how many other people applied for the job and how they compare to you. More than 200 people have applied to the same job. I keep telling myself that finding a job is like loosing weight. It will take a long time and you have to really work at it and take it one day at a time. I know this but am still have to keep reminding myself. The past few weeks have been bad. I stopped logging my food because it takes so much time but I think I should really start doing that again to make sure I know exactly where I'm going wrong, but I already know it's the snacking. Today has been good so far and I have yoga later so that always helps to relax me. I'm going to take a deep breath and start trying to log my food every day again.
