Good Morning all..
I didn't journal yesterday after I promised to myself I would every day.
But in my defense my mom is here visiting until Monday. Turkey day is Monday and I'm skeered. lol The only thing I have to be thankful for is that, unlike the USA, our turkey day is spread further from the other turkey day (xmas) then theirs. lol Mom is here to make sure the turkey is edible. BAHAHAHAHA See #5 down there.
I had a problem this morning when I jumped on the scale... I can't figure out why I gained 4 pounds since Monday. Was my 9.5 lb loss a fluke last week? I won't get discouraged like I did before. I have to figure out where I went wrong and reach out and admit I may need help.
I'm pretty sure 80% of it is because I don't exercise like I should and I have to figure out a way to change that. I have three girls I'm constantly running for, A house that always seems to be in complete chaos, and a business I'm trying to run. Some days I get so bad at multi tasking it's a down right sin. Aren't women supposed to be able to juggle four balls while cooking dinner and changing a diaper?
And though I thought the carbs I ate (massive amounts)wouldn't make a difference unless I went over my RDI I may have been wrong. This is where the confusion comes in. I can't figure out where I OOOPSed. But I will man up and ask for help. I don't want anyone to criticize what I ate unless you can back it up with a solution. This practice Irks me. Don't say "Don't eat this or that" without telling me "Maybe you could try this or that instead"
#1 I hate fish. Yes all fish so nix any suggestions on that
#2 I have a small intolerance to eggs. I can eat them one day and be fine and then eat them the next and get severe stomach aches. And it's only fried or boiled eggs that do this.
#3 Though I think the Banana is the sexiest fruit around I cannot get past the texture. I can eat them in anything except straight up. lol
#4 I never feel full unless I fill up on carbs. Rice, Potatoes, bread, etc. If I don't have them then I feel like I may die of starvation. lol So getting rid of too many carbs may not be the best idea. HAHA
#5 I have very limited cooking skills. I swear I burn water.. No joke.. My food is tasteless and I rely on hubby to cook around here.. lol
I KNOW I'm in the right place because there are so many on here who have had success without the fad diets. I tried all of those and failed. I spent thousands of dollars trying to find a solution to this problem but have realized that maybe the only way to "figure it out" is to not be afraid to ask for help. As I have in the past. I proved I can't do it alone so I'm asking my buddies for the help. I value their opinions.
But I do promise to always log in every single day no matter what and do something on here.. That was one of my promises I made when I came back two weeks ago.
Okay It's a long one BUT It's my journal and I'll complain if I want too.. LOL

Bonjour everyone!!!
I ate chocolate! Oh yes I did. The baby wanted chocolate covered almonds last night so I bought them for her. I ate about 10 of them before feeling a little ICKY. I was like WTHECKAROO!! This is my food. How could it make me feel sick? I'm not sure if it was cuz of my lack of junk the last week or so or my sub-conscience tell me that I was doing bad...
Anyhow I had the chocolate put away and I carried on.
Back to being on track since my chocolate let me down.. haha

Happy Hump Day Everyone!!
After trying every diet practically on the market I decided to just count calories. I'm confused about everything else so when I have the calories down pat I'll try to figure out carbs and fat etc... I think previously I would overwhelm myself trying to figure out EVERYTHING at once. It all got too confusing so I gave up.
How many calories, carbs, fat, protein, fiber, sugar, salt etc should I be eating??
I think it's no wonder people give up. You can't keep it all straight.
So one thing at a time. :)
Last night I was bad and had hubby's macaroni casserole. And lots of it. But it was good.
I'll be good for the rest of the week I promise.. hehe

Today I got up and jumped on the scale. Down to 218. That's 9.5 lbs lost in 8 days. Yay!!
Good start to the rest of the week to stay motivated.
BTW I don't feel like I'm starving myself. I eat. I just don't sit and eat a bag of cookies or 4 chocolate bars or a big bag of chips each night like I used to. Don't get me wrong I MISS snacking while watching tv. It used to go so well together. But alas eventually all good things must come to an end.
I'm drinking water which I never did before. I hated water. BUT it's good for you and I haven't had a headache or migraine in over a week. I think drinking constant coffee or diet soda was dehydrating my system. Before last week I'd have a headache or a migraine almost every day. I used to wake up with one and it would stay until I'd have at least my 2nd cup of coffee. I haven't had one since Last Saturday.. YAYAYAYAYA
Coffee is not a substitute for water. I still drink my usual 6-8 cups of coffee a day but I also drink between 1-2 liters of water a day too. I'm still learning and some days it's harder then others to get the full 8 glass (2L) down. But as long as I keep trying then I'm ahead of where I was. I did get 2L down a couple of times. That was an accomplishment.
Also I owe a lot to a few of my buddies who keep me wanting to come back. I highly suggest getting a buddy or two. They'll probably be the key to my success.
