09 April 2019
It's a little scary how hormones can turn someone into a bottomless pit for food 😱, lol! I've been feeling so hungry these days, even though I think I've been eating more. But I've been pushing past the cravings and sticking to my menu, even though the family has been offering mashed potatoes (on Sunday) and potato salad (today)... It's like they're trying to sabotage me.
Bought a cheapie fitness/activity tracker to track steps and heart rate, and monitor my sleep. Working well so far, it really helped with pushing myself during today's HIIT cardio workout. Sometimes I think I'm working hard, but am I really?Hopefully tracking my heart rate will help make my workout more effective.
Hope the week has been off to a great start for y'all!! 😁

I said "no" to mashed potatoes today, so chuffed with myself 😊. I try to take in less carbs (and food in general) on my rest days, because I don't get the chance to burn it off.
Does anyone know a decent, no hassles, meal planning app? I'm looking for one to help me plan my groceries and recipes for the week. I've seen a few, but they all seem to have a lot of extras I don't really need. I tend to put together my meals as I'm, but I want to get some structure into that now. I could use FS, but I don't really want to fuss with measurements, and I'm not tracking calories or anything. Just looking for something to help me plan my meals.

Rounding off the week.
It's been busy at work, but manageable. In terms of my workouts, I had to make some changes because my schedule. It was a more strength training intensive week than I had planned, but I still got in 5 days of workouts. Will try and go for cardio tomorrow to try and balance it out.
Diet was mostly on point 👌🏾. No eating over what was planned, even though I was soooo tempted to. What I need to get right is the books, though 😔. I've got a plan to get studying again this week. Need to get into a rhythm again.
I hope you have all a decent week... Even if you haven't, it's the weekend!! Wind down, relax, and prepare yourself for the new week.

Still loving baked sweet potato 😍, though I've limited myself to one a day and I usually only have it before a big strength/weight training day. I was thinking of getting into carb-cycling to see if it'll help accelerate fat loss a bit... But I'm too lazy to track macros 😅. Or even get back into tracking calories. I think I know and understand my body well enough to eat intuitively and not go off the rails.
I am feeling "hungry" lately, even though my meals haven't decreased at all. Pretty sure it's due to hormones, because Shark Week is coming up soon. But... I have to nip that in that bud, as I don't want to make a habit out of overeating, and making excuses for it (to myself).
Anyway... We're half way through the week!! Hope it's good one all the way down to the weekend 😊

Meatless Monday meal was lentil & black bean curry served with yellow cauli-rice and chickpea flour crepes/flatbread. It was good. And really spicy (first time cooking with Habanero chillies). I also meal prepped the curry for the rest of the Mondays in April.
I didn't manage to do my weigh in and measurements before my refeed day, so I've just decided to cancel. I'll do the check-ins at the end of April. Feeling heavier after all the extra carbs from the refeed, but I had a really good workout from them too. Just trying to move along as usual.
Happy Monday everyone!!!
