So I took a break and indulged with my daughters. It was a good break, a little bit costly on the scale, but not anything I am worried about. I am back at my regular eating and workout schedule and feel good about the time away. I just feel and look so much better, that I don't want to stop working out and eating healthy. That being said, indulgence is not a bad thing when it is once in a while rather than it being a lifestyle. Indulgence used to be my lifestyle, but it never felt good, it only tasted good! This new lifestyle I am developing and embracing allows for indulgences, which is why it is working for me. I don't ALWAYS get what I want, but that is easier to handle than NEVER getting what I want. Loving life is priceless!

Gaining 0.8 kg a Week
04 April 2012
Have a tough couple of days coming up because I am going to be on vacation with my daughters. I know that I will be off track for most of that two days, but I also know that I will be able to get back on track quickly. Working out is definitely becoming a habit that I misss when I don't do it. However, everyone needs a break sometimes.

Losing 1.0 kg a Week
31 March 2012
So I lost a total of 5.4 pounds in March. I was hoping for at least 7 pounds, but just ran out of time. Really though, I lost those 5.4 pounds in about two and a half weeks, so my loss is increasing with the working out that I have been doing. I also find that in making better food choices I am sometimes eating less than my 1800 calorie limit. I don't think I will lower my daily limit until I lose a few more pounds. I am happily making my way down the scale and I don't usually feel deprived or irritated by my current limit. I am also finding that, when I allow myself a "big cheat" like the mushroom burger I had a couple of nights ago, those super fatty foods sit like a foodbomb in my gut. Don't get me wrong, it still tastes good, it just doesn't feel good. So my body is adjusting to my better choices and that is one more step in the right direction for me.
I have been working at this for three months now and I am still feeling good and motivated to keep going. That, in and of itself, is a HUGE milestone for me.

Losing 0.3 kg a Week

If I have lost 20 pounds on my home scale, do I get to claim all 20 pounds even if the gym scale does not agree with my home scale? I did not weigh myself, eat a light b'fast, go burn 300 calories on the treadmill and gain 5 pounds in the process. . .did I? I know my shoes and clothes don't weigh 5 extra pounds, but man, that was an eye opener. I am equally motivated and devastated by the number on the scale sometimes. I vote that as long as I count my losses and gains on the same scale, it is an equal amount of weight. So there. :o)
