Hello, everyone! Hope you are well. NSV = Non scale victory. Last October when I reached my goal weight, I was wearing open back shoes, you just slip them on and go. Until the weather got bad in the winter, when I had to put on my real shoes with shoelaces. I realized that when I bend over to tie my shoes, I don't feel like I'm going to pass out. I used to get red in the face and could not breathe if I had to bend over to tie my shoes. I am feeling so great about this. :)

Hi, everyone. Hope you are well. Just wanted to tell you about a blog post that I read today that said a hot non alcoholic apple cider vinegar toddy can boost metabolism and keep pounds away. The blogger says a lot of reasons why this drink is good for you. You can read about it here:
Hot Apple Cider Vinegar Toddy
Would you drink it? Why or why not? I think I will try this. If you cannot see the link, click on my journal. If you still cannot see it, google Non Alcoholic Apple Cider Vinegar Toddy. :)

Hi, everyone! Hope you are well. I have to admit I am behind on your journals, because there are so many members now, but I see your weigh ins and I am cheering you on. ♥ Once in a while I have been having egg white omelets with veggies for breakfast. So here is my tip, if you have not had omelets before: Increase the color, flavor and fiber of your morning omelet with vegetables! Chop, sauté, and add the vegetables to the egg as it cooks. Try combining different veggies, such as mushrooms, spinach, onions, or bell peppers. If you like it spicy, sprinkle on some black pepper or a few drops of Sriracha sauce. An omelet is also good for lunch or dinner. Any time really. Thanks for stopping by my journal. Keep eating healthy and keep your body moving to burn those calories! Good luck to the new members!

Hi, everyone! Hope you are well. For those who are trying to figure out how long it will take to lose their weight, I needed to lose 97 pounds and ended up losing 103, but my doctor said don't go that low. So I stay between 130 and 136 lbs, to be in my best zone. It took me 1 year and 10 months (22 months) to lose the 97 pounds, which is about 5 lbs a month.
Yesterday I was looking over my old journals and saw that three weeks ago HCB told me about coconut oil and how it gives you energy and mental clarity. I can't believe that I forgot that. I asked everyone to discuss coconut oil on my journal yesterday. All I can say is my sleep deprivation must be hurting my memory. I'm going to have to work harder on getting to bed earlier. I have always been a night owl, and since I am retired I don't need to be up in the early morning. I sleep as late as I want, unless I have an early appointment. I need to go to bed early and not be staying up past midnight. That is my new health goal. Still working on the stress. Wishing you all good luck!
