I stepped on the scale in June last year 2021. i was 182. within a week or two i had gotten one of my fevers when i don't eat for two days . with a 4 pound weight loss during my brief illness i made a determination to keep those pounds off and determine to lose about 40 pounds. i had been 165 and didn't feel so bad for working out and being active but during covid while i didn't gain weight right away...two years later i was quite a meatball.
I hadn't logged on to fatsecret (terrible name for a weight loss site; how 'bout healthsecret?!) anyhoo since june last year while fatsecret doesn't reflect my work and weight loss...since i signed on at about 160 and had been already down about 20 pounds...since then i dropped about 13 more. so my weight loss since June 2021 is about 33 pounds. my fluctuation in the last few weeks was brought on by being ill and losing five pounds..when i weighed myself days later i was 147, but ingesting more salt than usual, and baking and eating easter bread i was up to 151 which seemed ridiculous considering i was still counting calories and not eating "enough to gain weight" but the body doesn't always work that way so a week later I am 149. which is GREAT! always good to push past that 10 pound mark and teeter on 150-152 for weeks and weeks and finally my body responding to activity and watching my intake YAY 149! at 140 i'm light enough to jog a bit and happy that i can run across the street again to avoid being run over by the a-holes on the road that never honor the walk signal !
