I’ve been reading about how cutting back drastically on calories will slow your metabolism. Recently I’m trying to eat around 3300 calories a day with around 200g of protein, and I haven’t gained or lost any weight. (I’m not really trying to)

Really consider that maybe you aren’t even eating enough for your body to manage itself. Fill your body up with good calories. A day with 1000 calories of processed sugars is much worse than a day with 2500 calories of vegetables and lean meats

My experience is different. Long term of course of eating extra healthy food will make me gain weight. I gained visible muscles a long time ago from eating sugar. I ate the sugar because I knew that it could give me energy and I needed it, I was desperate. I was in the best shape of my life. It's important to eat well and I mostly do and I have cut out all added sugar. I get sugar mostly from fruits now. Exercise makes a huge difference for me, without it I would need to lower my calorie intake.
