Walked 3.1 miles with doggies on the lake route this morning. Beautiful, sunny morning, about 65 degrees.

Yesterday, I kept my bargain with myself to do 10 minutes of something as additional exercise in the 4-6PM time frame. DH and I did a .7-mile walk, which took not quite 13 minutes. Neither of us wanted to walk, as I had done 3.1 miles in the AM and then hours of lawn/yard work. He had been on his feet most of the day and had also done yardwork. But we both did a quick loop of walking - and then we crashed for the evening!

I have to say that all the additional exercise made me hungry!!!!

I'd rather not do additional walking, but the weather has been so-o-o nice, I hate to pass it up. I can do indoor activities when it gets hot and humid.....which isn't far off in the future.

This afternoon, it's grilling time again! Got steaks and pork chops to grill which should keep us in protein for the rest of the week.


EDIT: Did an additional .7-mile walk about 5PM...took just a bit over 12 minutes, so added the 12 minutes to my 3.5 mph time from this AM.

Good job getting out there even when you really didn't want to. Hope as time goes on it gets easier to want to. I have a hard time squeezing anything in after work/supper other than the chores I have to do. By that time I am out of time &/or energy for anymore than being a really good couch potato! Your grilling sounds just yummy!

When is supper..I'll be right over..LOL...Love to grill anything..it just taste better..I agree walk when you can cause there will be days you can't go out..Maybe you could swim those extra minutes..that would be fun...:O)

That's my problem too, GG. After 3 or 4 in the afternoon, I'm just out of gumption. I can deal with getting a proper supper, but can't do a whole lot more than that. My intra-day weigh-ins reflect a slowing, compared to the AM and early afternoon, at least in general terms. But, if I can just face up to 10 little minutes....perhaps.....my metabolism can be pushed up just a wee bit higher.

Bren....probably around 5:30 and you're always welcome. Doggies ALWAYS eat at 5!!! Can't wait to do a swim for my 10 minutes....although that assumes this regimen will be working to produce a loss for me by the time the pool is warm enough for swimming. Hope you're feeling better today????

Congrats on the extra exercise - as if the yard work wasn't enough! And yes, increased hunger is the down side of exercise.
