I remember I weighed 220 on my birthday a year ago, so I added this to my history to see how my ways of eating affected me in the last year. And the winner is.........keto!!! By a landslide! Not only am I steadily losing weight, but ALL of my blood test numbers have gone into the green zone since then. I used to have several in the red and more in the yellow caution zone, but no more. My diabetes is controlled (91mg/dL today), my cholesterol numbers are awesome, my BP is in the normal range and I have lost 28 lbs so far! It seems nothing short of a miracle, but it's not--it's Keto. I feel so much better every day. Far less trouble with arthritis, asthma and depression too. I thank my family medicine doc for suggesting I look into this way of eating.

John10251, LOL I've been here for a while, thank you! I'm remembering my weight history from my highest weight on record (a year ago) and plugging it in as my starting weight. I'm 28 lbs down from 220 lbs since easing into high fat/low carb in January, after discovering this site--slow but steady. Have decided to go full keto (20gr or less total carbs) since I got a fabulous blood test report showing how well low carb works for me to reverse problem cholesterol and diabetic numbers. I keto on, as they say!
