I got the news that I am accepted into my Masters program at the University of Victoria. Someone asked me how I was going to celebrate. The first thing out of my mouth without thinking was "I'm getting a pizza of course"! On my drive home I had an epiphany that my relationship with food needs to change. Eating a pizza is not celebratory - it is damaging to me. I chose instead to 'celebrate' by having a great chat with my friend and did not 'reward' myself by undoing all my hard work.
I feel good today.
