My husband drives a manual '95 Ford Ranger all the time except winter. He loves it, never had any problems with it, and it's paid for! Son and others give him a hard time about why doesn't he get a "big boy" truck, lol. Did I mention it's paid for, lol....

Funny, Erika, am I going to kill the rats, or are they going to kill me? Days of Our Lives! You will be glad to know, I bought the tub and dowels for your trap. Lol Thanks brisbee and Selby! You know, my body is sore from the Civic presses. Lol

Rckc, I had one of those little trucks. They aren't costly and can carry stuff. I really hate big, macho trucks. The old ones's like Phil wants are cool though. I really miss my car now.

I can't stand what pick-up trucks have turned into, do they even make new single cab half-tons anymore, everything is double cab (or more) and atrocious.

The worst thing is having one on your back bumper on the freeway. My neighbor is a Trump talking big, truck big, RV, guy with a half dozen 9 millimeters. Do I need to say more?

I mean, if you just want to shoot, you can't go wrong with a .22, ammo's way cheaper and the knock down power of a "nine" isn't significantly better.

Well, there you go! He was very concerned new ammo laws in Cali we're going to restrict his safety so he bought two or three more, because gun makers were going to pull out of Cali.

That's the cutest puppy that I have seen in awhile. The expression is adorable.

He sounds like a typical uninformed redneck, got more dollars than sense, and needs a good kick in the arse.

My other neighbors are young and other than hitting my mailbox drunk, have been pretty cool. My trees, and bushes, mainly borders redneck's property, which becomes trouble.

Thanks DJ Beecher! I just hope the dog didn't eat ALL that junk food. Lol

Ugh, drunks. I don't care what a person's persuasion is, redneck, liberal, whatever, you throw drunk on top of it and it's unbearable.

Rule One: We can't choose our next door neighbors. Lol

If I lived in LA I'd need a machine gun.

So the first thing Congress is going to do is repeal Obamacare, and it's federal subsidies. Hope people can afford, unaffordable healthcare. I remember when work told me I could keep my healthcare when I retired, for $700. I was SO exited, then they said, that's $700 a month plus SS premiums of a few hundred a month.

I won't be surprised if they puss out and don't repeal. Conversely, I won't be surprised if they do. I think the big takeaway is that I don't think anything is going to surprise me in the next four/eight years. Can't choose your neighbors, this is true, but (haha) for the price of your house in California you could buy enough acreage where I live that neighbors would not be an issue.

tjbraders, funny you would say a machine gun. That is exactly what we worry about here. Someone taking out a few hundred in 10 minutes. No rural American gives a hoot about City Folk!

Funny, I have thought about moving for years, but the wife won't even think about it. I really do like Cali. Because of weather, I would never go very far. If I was single, I'd move to Vegas or Hawaii. Maybe a western state.

Phil, the one thing that bothers me the most, this next 8 years, is this should be about the well being of America, not some egocentric, panderer, trying to be a hate monger for his base.
